Ottobre 25, 2018
Gothic Tales adapted and directed by acclaimed writer, actor and director, Justin Butcher and performed by professional experienced television and theatre performer, Rupert Mason, with sound and music design by Theatre, TV and Film composer Jack C Arnold, is produced for Milan Schools by Julia Holden. The one man show combines three classic and brilliantly adapted gothic stories: The Red Room by HG Wells, The Signalman by Charles Dickens and The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe.
The three pieces are performed in full, period costume on a Victorian set, with ingenious, atmospheric lighting and sound effects. A performance of two stories will last approximately 40/50 mins (depending on which two) and all three 1 hour and 10 mins. Q&A can be added if desired.
For School English Departments – the show provides a great introduction to the genre for anyone studying these stories or Gothic literature in general. Resources are available to English Departments containing worksheets, lesson plans and much more.
Further performances for Schools are planned for Spring 2021. Please contact Julia Holden for more information.
