CROCODILES IN CREAM: A PORTRAIT OF LEWIS CARROLL
Written by David Horlock
Performed by Kevin Moore
Moore’s one-man show draws you into the life and mind of British author Lewis Carroll. He brings alive the voice of Carroll through his personal letters, diary entries, and poems. We become vividly aware how complex this Renaissance man was: photographer, mathematician, logician, poet, and ultimately, storyteller.
The title ‘Crocodiles in Cream’ is taken from a poem found in Carroll’s two-part romantic novel, Sylvie and Bruno.
“Moore is exquisitely engaging … moved to laughter and tears … scintillating … bitter and biting wit …”(Los Angeles Weekly)
